FSC-Certification

FSC® – what does it really mean?

At emmamalena, we always strive to make conscious choices – both in design and production. One of those choices is working with FSC®-certified materials, and we’re proud that many of our garments carry this label.

But what does it actually mean – and why does it matter?

FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council – an international certification that ensures the wood used in production comes from responsibly managed forests.
It’s about taking care of the environment, people, and economy throughout the entire chain.

Many of our viscose garments are FSC®-certified.
Viscose is a fibre made from wood pulp, which makes its origin important. With FSC®, we know that the wood:

– comes from forests where trees are replanted
– protects animal and plant life
– is produced with care for the environment
– is handled under safe and fair working conditions
– is traceable from forest to finished fabric

So when you choose an FSC®-certified piece from emmamalena, you're not just choosing something beautiful to wear – you're making a more sustainable choice. A choice made with care, from root to seam.

Curious about which of our garments are FSC®-certified?
Look for the label on our product pages – where you’ll find more about both material and origin.
