In the neck, you can read the story of our bath collection.
"In the late 1800s, Käringön was mentioned for the first time as a bathing resort. Since then, generation after generation has enjoyed fresh and healthy baths on the island. Since 2004, we at emmamalena have been making bathrobes and towels with the hope of continuing the tradition. Because we like to swim. Often and much. And preferably all year round! Do as the sea... DARE!"
Wash the poncho before use. This will cause the terry cloth to shrink and the loops to pack together, which makes the material absorb water better. If you get caught with the poncho and threads are pulled out, it's okay to cut them.

About us
The story of emmamalena
Our names are Emma and Malena. We started off as friends in school. Now we are friends at work. Two creative people who loves to draw, design and create beautiful, timeless garments and products who last through generations. We always keep the ocean and the west coast archipelago closest to our hearts.
Everything became reality in 2004 when we got offered a small boutique space on Käringön. It was really an old fisherman's cottage. It was during we time we mainly just knitted beanies. Maybe you saw us sitting outside the red cottage knitting? Anyway. To get the space, there was a catch. We had to create a fisherman´s shirt based on an old pattern originated from the island. The Käringö Sweater. That was the true beginning of emmamalena. Read the whole story here.
