Wool

Wool is a natural fibre that comes from sheep’s fleece and has been used in clothing for thousands of years. The material is known for its warming properties, softness and natural functionality. Wool is a living natural material that adapts to temperature and works just as well in cold weather as on cooler summer evenings.

Why we love wool

Natural warmth
Wool is temperature-regulating, keeping you warm when it’s cold and breathable when it’s warmer. It helps the body maintain an even and comfortable temperature.

Moisture-wicking properties
Wool can absorb moisture without feeling wet against the skin. This helps maintain a dry and comfortable feel, even on colder days.

Soft and resilient fibre
Wool is a living natural material with natural elasticity, which helps garments retain their shape and feel flexible in use.

A renewable natural material
Wool is a natural and biodegradable fibre. When produced with care and properly maintained, wool garments can be worn and appreciated for many years.

Caring for your wool garments

Wool requires gentle handling to maintain its shape, softness and natural properties. As a living natural fibre, wool reacts to heat, friction and sudden temperature changes, which can cause it to shrink or felt. By washing carefully, avoiding unnecessary wear and drying garments properly, you help preserve both fit and function over time.

Washing and drying

Wash at 30°C on a wool cycle or by hand using a mild wool detergent. Use a low spin setting and avoid sudden temperature changes, as this may cause the garment to shrink or felt. Lay flat to dry on a towel and gently reshape the garment while it is still damp. Avoid tumble drying and do not hang wet wool garments, as they may lose their shape.

Often, simply airing wool is enough. Fresh air naturally refreshes the fibres and extends the garment’s lifespan, while also reducing wear and energy consumption.
