Emma Green @1emmagreen

- When I was growing up, I was definitely a cold-water wimp. These days, I swim all year round, something I started doing after I ended my high jump career.

Maybe it's a substitute for some kind of thrill? Anyway, in the beginning, I almost always got sick after swimming. But then there was a turning point, and I actually started to feel healthier – but above all, it changed my attitude towards the weather. I'm not as sensitive to the harsh West Coast weather anymore.

Challe & Lisa – they’re hardcore and dive into the ice hole!

- The best part of cold bathing is the moment when you get the chance to sink into an ice hole. The exhilarating feeling of excitement, the biting cold, and then the wonderful feel-good hormones that flow afterward, says Lisa.

What does Margareta Hallin @50something.se think about winter bathing?💙💦

- I usually start swimming around Easter and continue until October. After that, it gets too cold for me. However, this week's sunshine and having a winter bather for company made me take a dip in December. Or maybe "swim" is a bit of an exaggeration 😅 – more like an extremely quick dip...

I mostly love the feeling afterward, with a cozy bathrobe and hot tea. I've had my bathrobe for a while now, and Johan just got the same one. It's really cozy and a bit sturdy, just the way I like it!

Olivia Söderström @oliviamarias

- I fell so in love with the bathrobe with Sockertång.

Join along when the photographer Katja Ragnstam @katjaragnstam goes winter bathing and tells us what she thinks about her terry poncho!

- I love the fluffiness of my terry poncho! It’s absolutely perfect now in the winter because it’s spacious enough to change in as well. Basically, a warm changing room that you can carry under your arm.

Elsa Farelius @elsafarelius directly from Lisbon in Portugal!

- There’s something magical about the city of Lisbon that I just can’t resist. From the picturesque alleys to the colorful ceramics and lively streets. And the best part of my packing is bringing my Emmamalena bathrobe with a zipper. I love using it when I walk to and from the bakery and for my morning coffee!

The amazing baker Linn Utbult @linnutbult, has written a poem for the occasion!

Lusse lelle, frozen is she
For she wears thin dresses so free
Little warmth does her linen give
She should’ve chosen something in terry to live

If you sing the Saint Lucia song
And want to keep the cold at bay all along
This bathrobe, it might just do the trick
To resist the hypothermic kick

When by the pier you sit and stay
Treat yourself to a saffransbulle today
Bring a thermos and a plate, so fine
This is deemed completely fine!

Here's the recipe for Lussekatterna.

The wonderful Adelsohn Didring family.
@ebbaad

- I’ve never used a bathrobe in my entire life until this one showed up. I love the zipper and the three-quarter sleeves. Plus, Hans looks extra sexy in his ❤️‍🔥. A bathrobe is the sexiest garment a man can wear, apart from fur. According to Ebba Adelsohn Didring.

The host, stylist, and journalist Frida Zetterström.

@frilansfrida

The host, stylist, and journalist Frida Zetterström enjoys life at Hälleviksstrand. Here’s what she says about her bathrobe!

- Being warm and comfortable while feeling stylish is always my focus in the winter. This bathrobe is truly a ten out of ten with its long sleeves, deep pockets, high shawl collar, and perfect length. It will easily become my companion all the way until summer – when I’ll switch to the thinner version with the same wave pattern!

We love meeting Ingrid Jelkeby, 90 years old, on her way to the bath at Käringön. Always wearing a specially dyed light blue Emmamalena bathrobe, purchased in 2016.

- After a lovely bath, it's so cozy to slip into a comfy bathrobe. My favorite is only available at Emmamalena, says Ingrid.

Isabel Holmquist, the winter bathing guide from Åre.

@yogagbg

Cold bathing is a bit like having champagne in your bloodstream! 🍾❄️

  1. Isabel's best tips for those who want to winter bathe:

  2. Wear a cozy beanie.

  3. When you come out, it's important to remove your swimwear as quickly as possible.

  4. The best thing is to have a lovely terry bath poncho, Emmamalena's is my absolute favorite.

  5. And preferably a towel to stand on, as your feet will get cold quickly.

  6. Breathe, don’t forget to breathe!

The winter bather, Lisa Forsell.

@lisaforsell

What do you think of your terry poncho?

- 100% coziness in this terry poncho. I’m a real bath person, bathing in both winter and summer, and I think it works great all year round. I love the material, it’s easy to put on and take off, and I can change under it. One size fits all, so unfortunately, I often lose it at home—my husband, daughters, and son all love to steal it! :)

Amanda Karlberg - the architect who loves to treat themselves to a bath.

@amandaakarlberg

- I think I’ve had the Emmamalena bathrobe with a zipper for maybe 7 years.
Could that be right? Yes, I believe so, and it just keeps getting better and better.
A clear favorite!
